FAQs
How do you do Occupational therapy assessments?
We aim to provide our service in a most comfortable and user-friendly manner. So, you can choose the assessment to be completed in your home, school or in our clinic. During the period of Covid-19, we aim to keep everyone safe and complete initial consultation through telephone or Wattsapp video calls.
Who can refer?
The answer is anyone is involved with the child. This can be the class teacher, school nurses, health visitors in the school settings, parents, GPs, case managers or legal guardians/foster parents.
Who do we work with?
We frequently work with children who are referred to us by their GPs, school nurses, Senco, Social workers, parents, Local authorities, case managers, Physiotherapists and Speech-language therapists, Health visitors, Clinical Psychologists, and many more. We also work with care homes and provide consultancy services.
Do you only see children who have an existing diagnosis?
Again, the answer would be NO. Any child who is identified with any difficulties, in spite of any existing diagnosis can be seen by us to address the issues reported. We won't diagnose your child but we can help you to identify the difficulties in detail, support the child/family, and signpost to professionals who can provide formal clinical diagnosis and expertise out of our scope of practice.
What does Occupational therapy assessment consist of?

However, very often young people also prefer being accompanied by one or both parents. Below 16 children would need a duly signed consent letter from parents along with a prior agreement with parents.
